  • Engaged in domestic/overseas patent licensing, joint development, and technical partnership projects, particularly, engaged to negotiate and draft contracts related to general IP matters.
  • Also, in charge of overseas patent licensing and litigation especially regarding Healthcare products, and Blu-ray disc (international standard) business.
2005-2015: Associate IP Attorney at one of major Japanese IP firms and handled the following cases;
  • license agreements, consultation services for general IP matters.
  • Patent prosecution especially for medical devices, packaging materials, solar cells, lithium-ion batteries, manufacturing machinery, construction materials, pipe materials, etc., and assistance in discovering new inventions.

  • Expert Opinion of validity of IP rights and Infringement

  • General Manager of Intellectual Property Dept. (April 2006 – March 2016)
  • Deputy General Manager of Research & Development Div. (April 2017– March 2018)
1990 Obtained Ph.D. in Science from School of Science, The University of Tokyo
1998 Qualified as a Japanese Patent Attorney, Registered in 1999
